ShoreTrade is an innovative B2B online seafood trading platform and marketplace, enabling the sale and purchase of seafood between the fisherman, fisheries, processors, wet shops, wholesalers, retailers, restaurateurs and hospitality groups. ShoreTrade provides end-to-end cold chain logistics ensuring freshness and maintaining quality of produce.

ShoreTrade is the “birthchild” of Amazon and Instagram, but for seafood and any other primary industry.

ShoreTrade gives a seller the ability to sell and distribute our oceans freshest seafood at the click of a button, from the comfort of their boat or once back on land.

Once signed up, sellers can list their available produce for sale, either by:

1. Bulk upload of the entire product list
2. Singular seafood uploads per the dropdown menus and fish types on the app

The ShoreTrade seller app was designed with the fisherman front of mind; conscious of light limitations when viewing the app out at sea, eye sensitivities and signal issues often experience while out on the boat. Products can be listed once caught, loaded instantly and ready for sale. Once returning to shore, the catch will be advertised to all interested buyers giving the fisherman the ability to have his catch sold, without dealing with a wholesaler or co-operative.

ShoreTrade creates transparency throughout the procurement and purchasing cycle, giving the buyer sight of;

* Who is selling the produce
* Where the produce is coming from
* How it compares in price to other similarly listed products.

Because of this, the seller app:

* Introduces new distribution channels for the seller
* Creates brand awareness for their product and allows for new relationships to be developed between buyer and seller
* Gives the seller control over how much their produce is sold and listed for

ShoreTrade prevents and eliminates the inherent mark-ups seen in the seafood industry by shortening the supply chain cycle, resulting in the seller being able to sell its products and catch, directly to retailers, restaurants and hospitality groups. This ensures that the best price is achieved for the produce, thus putting more money back into the pocket of the fisherman, fishery and aquafarms.

Once products have been loaded as an available product for purchase, ShoreTrade provides real time, end-to-end cold chain logistics for all sales, removing the often frustrating and costly exercise of making ones catch available for sale. Upon sale, the buyer’s monies are held in escrow, released to the seller upon delivery of product at the buyer’s chosen location.

ShoreTrade is also a trading platform, offering users the ability to trade seafood products. AQUAFUTURES is a unique product of ShoreTrade. Sellers on ShoreTrade can list and sell produce that has not yet been farmed or caught yet, indicating an expected availability date on the listing – particularly relevant for aquafarms. Having sight of the listed AQUAFUTURES, buyers can purchase products ahead of the curve, factoring in the seasonality and cyclicality of products – given buyers the ability to be proactive rather than reactive. If sellers also have buyers accounts on ShoreTrade, sellers can purchase AQUAFUTURES for fish types, that are whole in nature and relist the product as a variant of the whole fish (e.g. fillets of salmon) – often applicable to processors.

ShoreTrade can be used to track sales, filtering by product type, region and time period. Sub user accounts can also be loaded under a master account for sales teams siting in different regions. A seller can compare market prices, track performance of product against market trends and use the insights of the seller platform and app, to explore alternative products and/or higher yielding products or markets.
